What is Gravity Forms?
Gravity Forms is a powerful form builder plugin. It normally costs $259/year for their Elite license that we make available to our Harbor Care clients at no additional cost.
With Gravity Forms, you can do everything from creating contact forms to complex employment forms. You can sell products and even do neat things like setup quizzes and polls. There’s really no end to what is possible as it is highly customizable, yet simple to use in most of its basic functions for entry-level users.
Contact Forms that Work
Gravity Forms is great for simple tasks like building effective contact forms. You get full control over how the form fields are presented to the user, the format you’d like to accept, and what happens with the information once it is submitted.
What is also great is that there is an extensive history of submissions that allows you to go back and review the entries at any time. Other popular form builders like Contact 7 don’t allow you to see submissions leaving you to rely on properly configured notification emails that easily get lost in your inbox.
Getting information from users in the correct format in a way you can actually use the information is a great step to making your website work more for you. - You can gather partial entries. Often times people will only fill some of a form out and then leave. With the Partial Entries addon, you can see what they did fill out, where they stopped, and gather information as to why they may have not continued.
- Conditional logic is something built into Gravity Forms. This allows you to show different fields based on the user’s previous actions. For example, a simple Yes/No question could show the user different fields later in the form based on their answer. This is a powerful tool that allows you to create highly effective custom forms.
- Need to allow people to upload PDFs, images, or other files and documents? No problem! You can add a file upload field to your form and control the size and file type of the uploads allowed.
