6 Reasons WP Harbor Recommends Revel Marketing

I own a website development company, and I work with a lot of marketing agencies. I recently referred a client to Revel so I thought I would write up a quick post explaining why I recommend Revel over marketing agencies.

I suppose it’s worth saying, I don’t have any affiliation with Revel Marketing. This is just a good ol’ fashioned recommendation!

If you’re a business located in West Michigan (or anywhere else) that needs help with marketing, here are six reasons you should talk to Revel:

1. They’re Reliable

I became aware of Revel around 2011. Since then, I’ve watched them produce a consistent flow of high-quality creative work. That’s not easy.

Amateurs are creative when they feel inspired. Professionals hone creativity into a skill that can be applied when they’re not inspired, then deploy that creativity in a variety of venues for a variety of audiences.

Maintaining that professionalism over the long run takes discipline, and Revel has proven year after year that they have what it takes. I can refer a customer to Revel knowing they are reliable for high-quality creative work.

2. They produce ROI

Revel has been the top marketing agency in Muskegon for well over a decade. A company doesn’t stay in that position as long as Revel has, or have as many repeat customers without producing a return.

The proof is in the pudding. But if you’re one of those people who reads the ingredients, Revel publishes the results of many of their marketing campaigns.

3. They’re Honest

Over the years, Revel has communicated with me directly, truthfully, and followed through on what they’ve said. But that’s just me. How do they treat their customers?

On more than one occasion, I’ve seen Revel go out of their way to help a potential client find someone else to work with because Revel wasn’t the best fit.

That tells me Revel won’t take on a project if they don’t believe they can produce results they would be proud of.

Because of this, I know Revel isn’t going to grab whatever money they can from clients I send their way. If Revel isn’t a good fit for a client, they’re honest about it.

It’s not easy to come by that kind of integrity these days.

4. They’re a good company to work for

A company that “cares about its employees” can feel like a hollow corporate promise, however, I’ve had the pleasure of being a fly on the wall and I’ve seen them live out this company culture first hand.

From their employee-appreciation parties to cool offices that make you think, “damn, I wish I could work here!”, I can attest to their authenticity. I’ve also had many friends and acquaintances who worked for them share good experiences.

The “3-way Test” in Revel’s Office

Aside from my personal experiences, Revel has been on West Michigan’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” list EIGHT TIMES. That in itself is a testament to their company culture of providing a good work experience.

5. Award Winning

Revel has won silver and gold Addy awards not to mention numerous awards and recognitions that have been bestowed upon individual members of their staff. For example, their CEO Jason who won Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014, beating Jim VanderWier and that other guy…oh yeah, ME!

It’s cool Jason. No hard feelings. I was honored to be considered for the award, especially among nominees who were so much older and more experienced than I was at the time.

Did I mention older?

Okay good 😉  Moving on.

6. They Engage with the Community

As a staple of Muskegon’s Downtown Business community, Revel’s involvement ranges from the Rotary to TEDx, Charity Events, and more. They were the primary sponsor when I saw Michael Gerber, the author of “The E-Myth”, speak in 2011. Muskegon has a more vibrant business community thanks, in part, to Revel.

They recently sponsored a $90,000 marketing giveaway as part of a global philanthropic movement called Giving Tuesday. It takes place on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and encourages people to shift their focus from shopping on Black Friday to charitable giving and acts of kindness.

After receiving 30 applications from non-profits in West Michigan, Revel delivered stellar marketing work to the selected winner, Girls Build Kalamazoo.

Summary

As a web developer, I work with a lot of marketing agencies, and I’m always excited to work with Revel on a project. They’re a talented bunch, and aside from the many reasons I listed above, they’re just nice people.

Look all you want for the best marketing agency in Muskegon, you won’t find one better than Revel.
